Mine were Baptist in Ky NOTE: - MMM - there is nothing in "A History of N.C. Baptists l727 - l932" by Huggins on this Church or minister, but this book skips this period. In Dr. C. C. Ware's book "N.C. Disciples of Christ" there are several references to both Roach and Loosing Swamp. Roach was a Free Will Baptist minister of Craven County and took charge of Wheat Swamp and Lousan Swamp which was founded in the l750's. Lousan Swamp never became a Disciples Church, but joined the Union Baptist.
