Craven County, NC - Deed - Isaac Pipkin Sr. to Isaac Pipkin Jr., 1822 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ To all people to whom these presents shall come Know ye that I Isaac Pipkin Senior of the State of North Carolina and County of Craven for and inconsideration of the love good will & affection which I have & bear toward my loving son Isaac Pipkin Junr of the County & State above mentioned have given & granted & by these presents do freely give & grant unto the said Isaac Pipkin Junr his heirs executors or administrators a certain tract or parcel of land lying on the north side of Neuse River & east side of Goose Creek beginning at a cypress stake above the Gut landing at the side of said Creek a little above the plantation where Wm Daws died running south forty east one hundred & sixteen poles to Doct John Bryans line then with Bryans line south twenty west to a pine formerly Thomas Jordans corner standing to the westward of James Muses plantation then running with a dividing line north 40 west one hundred & thirty poles to Goose Creek then up the said Creek with the meanders of the water to the beginning containing one hundred acres being part of a patent granted to Nathaniel Gabriel bearing date the the twenty eight day of April one thousand seven hundred & sixty four to have & to hold with all the appertenances & privileges thereunto belonging to him the said Isaac Pipkin Junr his heirs & assigns & I the said Isaac Pipkin Senior do warrant the above granted premises unto the said Isaac Pipkin Junr and his heirs and assigns forever free & clear from the lawful claims of all persons in witness whereof I have unto set my hand & seal this 9th day of Oct 1822 In presence of } Isaac Pipkin Senior {Seal} Casan Fell } Philip Pipkin } North Carolina } Craven County } Feby 19, 1861 Then was the due and legal execution of this foregoing deed proved before me by the oath of P.
