Witnefseth that The said Eunice Carruthers and Lydia Rellear for and in consideration of the sum of twenty pounds proclamation to them in hand paid by the said Henry Darnell at and before the sealing and delivery of those presents the receipt whereof they the said Eunice Carruthers and Lydia Rellear doth hereby acknowledge and thereof and of every part and parcel thereof exonerate acquits and discharge the said Henry Darnell his Executors Administrators and apsigns hath granted bargained sold aliened conveyed apsigned set over and confirmed and by these presents doth grant bargain sell alien enfeff apsign set over convey and confirm unit the said Henry Darnell his heirs and apsigns. All that and those a certain lot of ground situate lying being in the town of New Bern in the County of Craven land Province aforesaid beginning at New Corner of the lot N 204 on Eden tract containing half an acre be the same more or lefs being known in the Plan of the said Town by the Number /205/ Two Hundred & five which lot was granted by the Commifsioners of New Bern to Robert Carruthers by Deed bearing date the forth day of July one thousand seven hundred and fifty four and by the said Robert Carruthers in his last will and Testament given and bequeathed unto the said Eunice Carruthers all of Record in the County of Craven. He forever being thereunto had may more fully & at large appear and all the rights members appendances & appurtenances to the same belonging or any were appertaining and the reversion and reversions remainder and remainder rank Ipus and Profits of said premifses and every part and parcel thereof and all the right title interest property claim and dominion either in law or equity of them the said Euncie Carruthers and Lydia Rellear of in or to the same together with the deeds evidences and writings now in their or either of their power or custody touching or any wages communing the said lot of ground. To have and to hold the same lot of ground together with all and singular the appurtenances thereunto belonging to him the said Henry Darnell his heirs and apigns so the only proper use and behoof of him the said Henry Darnell his heirs and apigns forever and the said Eunice Carruthers and Lydia Rellear doth for themselves their and each of their heirs & apsigns covenant and grant to and with the said Henry Darnell his heirs & apsigns that he the said Henry Darnel his heirs and apsigns shall and may from time to time and at all times hereafter peaceably and quietly have hold occupy poperps and enjoy the said lot of ground and premifses hereby granted with the appurtenances without the set trouble hindrance or moles taken of them the said Eunice Carruthers and Lydia Rellear their or either of their heirs or apsigns or of a form any other person or persons claiming by from or under them or any of them. In witnefs whereof the parties aforesaid to these presents have interchangeably set their hands and seals the day and year first above written.
