Craven County              }     Know all men by these presents that I
Henrietta Sparrow of the County  and State aforesaid of the one part and Wm
H. Snell of the same place of the other part, Witnesseth that for and in
consideration of the Sum of One Dollar to me in hand paid, by the said Wm H.
Snell at and before the sealing of these presents the receipt whereof is
hereby adknowledged seized of the said Henrietta Sparrow hat, given,
bargained and sold and by these presents doth give grand, bargain and sell
unto the said Wm. H. Snell his heirs executors administrators and assigns a
certain, piece or parcel of land lying and being in the County and State
aforesaid, situated and being on the North side Neuse River and East side of
Dawsons Creek, containing Two Hundred acres more or less and known as the
China Grove Plantation, To have and to hold said piece or parcel of Land
unto him the said Wm H. Snell his heirs executors administrators and assigns
forever and I the said Henrietta Sparrow do by these presents bind myself,
my heirs and administrators and assigns do forever warranty and defend the
title in said Land unto him the said Wm H. Snell his heirs executors
administrators or assigns against the right title or claim of all persons
whatsoever. Given under my hand and seal this the 21st day of September,
Eighteen Hundred and Sixty Four (1864).
