Written: August 24, 1866

(Notice at the bottom of this document it says it is a copy.  But it is a very 
old handwritten copy made for a court case that took place in the late 1800's.)

William H. Lewis enters and claims 700 acres of land lying in Craven County on 
the South Side of Bay River and on the head of the South West prong of Trent 
Creek, beginning in Caruther's line at Eason Fulsher's upper Corner of his 300 
pole line, runs with Caruthers line 400 poles,, thence North 60 degrees(?) West 
300 poles, thence Morthwardly or Eastwardly 400 poles & from thence to Eason 
Fulsher's NW Corner & thence to the beginning
				August 24, 1866
