Pipkin, Isaac, Private
Company K, 31st Regiment NC Troops
Resided in Craven County where he enlisted at age 18, November 21, 1861. 
Captured at Roanoke Island on February 8, 1862. Paroled at Elizabeth City on 
February 21, 1862. Returned to duty on or about September 15, 1862. 
Hospitalized at Richmond, Virginia, May 17, 1864, with a gunshot fracture on 
the left arm. Place and date wounded not reported. Deserted on or about August 
15, 1864.
