Craven County, NC - Clermont Plantation, 1809 The Clermont Plantation will be let on the premises to the highest bidder for a term of five or six years on the 12th day of December next with or without a number of Negroes. At the same time and place, will be sold on a credit of six months all the horses and stock of every kind plantation utensils, some fodder and peas, &c &c. Among the horses are at least four well broke to the carriage - two of which cost Mrs. Spaight two hundred dollars each. All the Negroes belonging to said plantation will be hired at the same time for one year. The terms will be more particularly made known on the day, both as to the land and Negroes.
