Saturday, December 14, 1794.  "Married:  John Sears, one of the justices
of the peace of this county, and Miss Polly Daly."

August 20, 1796.  Died:  On Wednesday last, at his seat in this county,
John Daly, Esq., for many years a respectable inhabitant and a useful
magistrate."

Oct. 5, 1796 (repeated Oct. 25 and 29):
"It is hereby given to all those it may concern, that John Daly, late of
Craven County is dead, intestate, and that the subscriber hath qualified
as Administratix to the estate of said intestate.  Therefore all persons
who have any legal demands against the estate of said intestate, are
requested to present them to the subscriber within the time limited by
law, of they will be barred; and all persons indebted to said intestate,
are requested to make immediate payment."  --Ann G. Daly, Administratix
