Craven County, NC - Benjamin & Samuel Sparrow, 1817

Newbern, NC March 19

The Superior Court of Law for this County commenced on Monday last, 
his Hon. Judge Lowrie presiding. On Thursday sentence of death was
passed upon Benjamin and Samuel Sparrow, convicted at the last term
on the indictment for negro stealing, and Friday the 16th of May
appointed for their execution.
