Craven County, NC - Yellow Fever in Newbern, 1799

Raleigh, NC Sept. 17

We learn that the yellow fever is in Newbern - a person direct from
that place informs us, that on Tuesday and Wednesday last, inclusive,
16 persons died - Mrs. Craddick has lost during last week, the whole
of her children, 5 in number. The inhabitants are flying in every
direction.

We hear also, that the same disease is raging in Washington.
