Craven County, NC - Obituary of Richard Cogdell, 1787

Newbern (NC) May 9

On Thursday last departed this life, in the 63d year of his age,
Col. Richard Cogdell, late Master of the Union Lodge No. 1, of
this town. His remains were on Sunday afternoon, followed to the
grave in the burying ground of Christ-Church, by that worshipful
lodge, and a number of other members of the most ancient and
honourable society of Free-Masons.
