On Tuesday morning the 13th instant, Mrs. Hannah Gaston, the aimiable consort 
of William Gaston esquire, our representative in Congress. She was in the 29th 
year of her age, and has left behind her three lovely children to mourn the 
loss of so excellent a mother. She was endeared to her husband and family by 
the most tender, even and carressing temper; and to all her firends and 
acquaintances, by the most affectionate and engaging manner. The young and the 
gay part of society will long be smitten by a gloom - on entering the little 
assemblies where she used to give lustre and grace and add a charm to every 
amusement. The poor will see no more that moist and glistening eye; that 
tender and participating look; nor feel that compassionate tone, which 
accompanied that hand so often extended full of comfort and consolation to 
their wants and clalamities.
