MOSES GRIFFIN, for many years a respectable inhabitant of that town. MR. GRIFFIN was a man of advanced age, and was perhaps the only survivor who fought the battle of Alamance, and dispersed the regulators in the year 1771. It is understood that MR. GRIFFIN has left, by his will, a large estate for a purpose no less honorable to himself, than it promises to be useful to society, the establishment of a charity school. We say understand, as nothing can yet be known with certainty on the subject. Such, however, is the language of report.
