White Apr 2000 ========================================================================== Aged Cove City Man Is Called By Death New Bern, Oct 20, 1931 -- Funeral services were held at 3 o'clock Sunday afternoon at Cove City for Tim McCoy, 84 whose death occurred at the family residence early Saturday morning. Rev J.C. Griffin, Freewill Baptist pastor, officiated. Interment was in the Cove City cemetery. Long a prominent farmer of Cove City, Mr McCoy was a member of an old Craven family and was well known throughout the section. He died after an illness of many months. Surviving are four daughters and six sons; Mrs. Fruzey Donnerson, Miss Debbie McCoy, Mrs O.C. Eubanks and Mrs. Sudie Wood of Cove City; S.W. McCoy, Mark McCoy and J.B. McCoy of Cove City; R.F. McCoy of Hopewell; E.L. McCoy of Chicago and Tim McCoy Jr., of Lillington.
