Viz. May the 11th 1801 agreeable last notice of the sheriff and after taking the oath agreed by law did proceed to make said division which we concluded should be done by lines paping through said land in the following manner viz A division line between Mrs. Elizabeth Howard and Thomas Patridge to begin at stake on South run a little below the mouth of a gut in the cleared land then running 182 ft 92 pole through the cleared land then N 62 E6 to Brown Creek a little below the mouth f a small gut, division lines between Thomas Patridge and William Jones and wife to begin on South River at a Maplewood stake a little above sd Wm Jones landing running N 24E 109 pole through the cleared land to a stake then N41 to Brown Creek near the mouth of Simons gut which lines will equally divi’d 1206 acres of land being all that land of Sd 2230 acres which lies between South River and Brown Creek the remanding of said land which lies below Brown Creek being found by an active survey to be 870 acres only we divide as follows: (being separated from the rest by Brown Creek and the other lands the direction of the will of said Benners corner govern the division of it as to other part above Browns Creek. By a land division from the Southward Corner of Adam Ferguerson new survey in his old line running N 12 W is the shore of Necessary River which will leave 290 acres on the west side for Mrs. Elizabeth Howard and 290 acres on the east side for Thomas Patridge and a tract of 290 acrews patented by John Thomlinson inventory from Brown Creek to Adam Ferguerson new survey. Which first mentioned and total complement approximately to 2075 acres instead of 2230 mentioned in the will afors’d. The plat of which with the division lines corners Browns Creek is hereunto annexed may be seen.
