North Carolina
By the Hon'ble the Governor
To any Orthodox minister of the Church of England or to any lawful 
Magistrate of the precinct of Craven.
These are to license you to joyn together in the Holy state of Matrimony 
Nathaniel Baran and Anne Lewis of ye sd precinct (bond not asked) there 
appearing no lawful impediment to the contrary and for your so doing this 
shall be your sufficient license.
Given under my hand this 3rd day of December 1719
