Wife Martha and the following children are named in will: William, Rose Wynns, Martha Williams, Elender Maclendon, Mary Early, Elizabeth, John. Superior Court of Edenton, North Carolina WILL OF WILLIAM BUSH IN THE NAME OF GOD AMEN I William Bush Sen’r of the Precinct of Chowan in the County of Albemarle in the Province of North Carolina being very sick and weak in body but of sound and perfect memory Thanks be given to Almighty God for the same I do make constitute, appoint and Ordain this to be my Last Will and Testament in manner and form following That is to say my Soul I Recommend into the Hands of Almighty God that gave it Nothing Doubting but Trusting through the Merits of my Blessed Redeemer to receive a joyfull Resurrection on the Last Day My body to be buried in such Christian like manner As to my Executrix hereafter named hath seem meet and as Touching Such worldly Estate as it pleased for Almighty God to bestow on me in this Transitory world I dispose of the same in manner and form following. First to my Eldest son William Bush, Jun’r I give and bequeath that Plantation whereon he now lives with all the Woods and Ground from Neetops line down Wickacone Creek to the mouth of Polecat branch then by a ____ line from thence to the line that parts the land and James ___land where he now lives Running along the side of the Gnawing Pond containing by estimation three hundred acres of land be the same more or less to him and his heirs for ever To my youngest son John Bush I give and bequeath the Plantation whereon I now live with all the wood land ground between Abraham ____ land where ____ now lives on the land therein given as above mentioned and my ___ I give to my son John Bush his heirs for ever. To my Daughter Mary Early I give and bequeath one shilling to be paid out of my movable Estate. To my Daughter Martha Williams I give and bequeath one shilling to be paid out of my movable Estate. To my Daughter Rose Wynne I give and bequeath one shilling to be paid out of my movable Estate. To my Daughter Elinore MackLendon I give and bequeath one shilling to be paid out of my movable Estate. To my youngest Daughter Elizabeth Bush I give and bequeath one Pewter dish one Pewter plate two cows and calves and one mare with their increase forever Lastly I constitute appoint and ordain my dear & well beloved Wife Martha Bush to be the whole & sole Executrix of this my last will and Testament and I desire that the remaining parts of my whole movable Estate should be equally divided between my two Sons above mentioned at the decease of my well beloved Wife Martha Bush Ratifying and Confirming this to be my last will & Testament utterly Revoking Renouncing and making void all former wills by me formerly made.
