CARRAWAY, Mary 		1856

Weak and feeble in body but of sound mind and memory

Two eldest grandsons Edward CARRAWAY, George CARRAWAY: All interest in family of 
negroes, except girl Rebecca, one fourth part of the whole in value to be held in 
common and hired out for them & the proceeds to be put on interest & interest to 
be used for their education. If either die without lawful heirs, the other to get 
the whole, and if both die all surviving grandchildren to inherit.

Grandson Joseph CARRAWAY: Negro girl Rebecca & her increase

Grandson Edward: 50 ac of land which I purchased of John VEAL decd. the lower 
piece.

Grandson George: The upper piece of above land

Grandson Edward: Bed, bedstead, and furniture, large dining table

Grandson George: Small grain table, also a heifer given to him verbally

Grandson Edward: Heifer given to him verbally.

Joseph: Cow and calf

Edward: Large chest duftailed together.

Niece Mary E. THOMAS: $30 to be used in boarding her to be sent to school.

Niece Martha PARSONS: Cow & calf and $20 cash

Cause of missions and the missionary church $25 for its further support and 
prosperity.

Executor: Son: Peter F. CARRAWAY and friend John H. NELSON.

Witnesses: Frank MASON, Thomas W. MASON
Signed with mark
Codicil (unwitnessed): I give to my grandson George CARRAWAY my watch when he is 
21, which his father has the use of until then
