Item: I give to my Beloved Daughter Phereby Taylor one Puter Dish and Bason and one Prayer Book all those Articles in this sd Clause I give to my beloved Daughter Phereby Taylor and her heirs forever Item: I give and Bequeath to my beloved Son James Gard one Puter Dish and Bason if he should not Return for the Sd Dish and Bason to fall to my son Joshua Gard. I give and bequeath to my beloved Son Joshua Gard one Puter Dish and Bason and my mair and one Feather Bed and Bedstead and Furniture after my Death and my gun all these articles in this clause I give to my beloved Son Joshua and his heirs forever. Item: I give and bequeath to my Beloved Daughter Alse Gard one Pewter Dish one Small Chest and one Gallon Bottle one Wollen Wheel one Loom and set of Shdys ? and give all those articles in this sd clause I give to my Beloved Daughter Alse and her heirs Forever. (Craven Co. Deed Book 36, pg. 690). April 1809 Joshua Guard died; June 1809 - Estate File for Joshua Guard - Mary Guard, Administratix with James H. Wallace & John Cummings surieteries. Vine Allen, Atty ask court to appoint trustees to draw up dowery for widow and noted date of death as April 1809. John S. Nelson, Esq., Phillip Neal, James H. Wallace & Thomas Joclyn were appointed as commissioners. Her share of years provisions included 31 bushels of corn besides all the wheat which as been made or saved this summer and 1 steer that runs athorn and 5 of the hogs belonging to the Estate that will be tow years old next fall.
