Carolina In the name of God Amen March first 1730 I Peter Hand being sick and weak of body but of perfect mind and memory. Blessed be the Almighty God for ye same and I make ordain & constitute this to be my last will and Testament and do Revoke, Disavow and make void all other wills and testaments be me made. First I give and bequeath my Soul unto ye hand of Almighty God who gave it hoping at ye resurrection to receive ye Soul again in full pardon of my sins through Jesus Christ my Saviour and Redeemer and as to what worldly goods ye Lord has seen fit to endue me with I depose of as followed after my Lawful debts be fully paid and funeral charges my body decently buried after ye direction of my Executor Ann Hand These I give and bequeath unto my loving wife Ann this track of land which I live and five hundred acres for her natural life then ye said land to fall to my Daughter Elizabeth Hand and heirs after her natural life to my daughter Mary and Heirs after her natural life to fall to my Daughter Joan Hand and Heirs for natural life ye said land to fall unto Richard Hart or every other I give my loving wife two cows & calfs and all ye steers a Rone three year old and two horses and all my hoggs and to my daughter Elizabeth six cows & calfs & one two year mare To my Daughter Mary six cows & calfs & one two year old mare and to my Daughter Joan six cows & calfs and one two year old mare and ye remaining part of ye stock and sold & to be Disbursted to pay for learning of my children and Richard Hart & likewise to have learning with ye Children and leave him one Gun and one hand saw to chisels one square and compass two plains one broad axe and two cows and calfs and ye children to have ye increase and to my loving wife one negroe man and for her natural life and said Wife and likewise all ye money and credit that is due me and my youngest child Joan and to my daughter Elizabeth one negroe aggy and to my Daughter Mary one negroe Russ and to my loving wife all my household goods now thought one and for after. I make and Constitute my loving wife Ann Hand and brother John Dept jointly my executors of this my last will & testament witness my hand the day above written.
