Hardison located in Craven County Clerk of Court Office Book 6 folio 364. Know all men by their presents that I Steven F. HARDISON of the County of Craven State of North Carolina being weak in body but in my write mind and disposing memory and knowing that all men must die makes this my last will and testament, Viz Item 1st I give and bequet to my beloved wife Hannah HARDISON Two Hundred Dollars in Cash also her (spot on paper) fether bed and furniture also her choice Cow and Calf one large chest 2 Chase Chairs. Item 2nd My wish and desire is that all my Last Debts be pade and the remander of my perishable property be applied to the Education of my Children in the following manner viz My wish is that the younger Children be put to School and the money applide to thare benefit untill tha become equal in point of Education to the older Children and whatever may remaine to be Equally divided between them (that may be living). Item 3rd My wish is that if my Executor should think best to sell my lands that he do so and apply the proceds to the Education of my children an apply the same to thare benefit as he may think proper Item 4th Constitute and appoint my Friend and Neighbor Vine A.
