WILL OF WILLIAM JONES North Carolina - Craven County In the Name of God, Amen, I William Jones, of the County of Craven, State of North Carolina, being weak in body but of perfect and sound mind and memory, thanks be to Almighty God, calling to mind the fealty and mortality of my body, knowing it is appointed for all men to do, do hereby leave, give and bequeath in manner and form the following: Item. I give unto my sons Asa Jones, Thomas Jones, and William Jones, all my land to be divided between them and one sow and pigs a piece and one feather bed, a piece, to Asa and Thomas Jones, I give one feather bed and furniture. To my daughter Elizabeth Jones, I give one feather bed and furniture. To my daughter Mary Jones, I give one feather bed and furniture. To my daughter Elizabeth Jones, I give one feather bed and furniture. To my daughter Esther Jones, I give 20 dollars a piece in the room of a bed, to my daughter Lue, to my son William, to my daughter Susannah Jones ... I give one mare by the name of Pleasure to my son Asa, I will all my stock of cattle to be equally divided amongst my children. I give one sow and pigs a piece to all my daughters or the valuation thereof in other hogs. I will that any other property of every kind and sort to be equally shared and divided amongst all my children, and lastly nominate, constitute and ordain and appoint my son Asa, William Prescott, and Austin Prescott Executors of this my last will and testament, whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal, this 3 October 1815.
