Craven County Deed Book 1729-1741 CR28-189 Page 39 Will of Jacob Miller - Craven Co In God's name, Amen, I Jacob Miller of ye Palitine Country, being in new land be it known openly That ye Lord God, in North Carolina in American brought me here and blest with wordly goods, certain (?) of where I am, old and sick in body yet in perfect memory of mind, therefore I comitt my body to ye ground and my soul unto ye Almighty God that gave it and as for my worldly affairs I despose of after the manner as followeth: I give all my lands both tract and block - moveable and immoveable to be equally divided between my wife and youngest daughter Cathren Miller only that plantation where Thomas Cordera lives shall be Divded between these two and my daughter shall have the house and plantation, and if my wife should marry again then I desire that George Coone and Wendall Blaylor should Take Possession of my daughter Cattorin part of the estate and shall keep in their possession Till she is of age or married.
