On August 1, 1999, William Flake Joiner of Troy, Al contacted me regarding information on Cortney/Courtney Reeves. One researcher in AL had looked for 30 years for the parents of the Reeves children. The REEVES descendants have identified about 5,000 descendants and their spouses and children. Through the efforts of Nancy Reeves of Raleigh NC, she was able to collect data in Ga and NC proving the connection between the Reed and Reeves Families. A book was published in late 2001 on "The River Reeves" A copy is to be placed in Raleigh Archives and History Library - GST]
