Craven County, NC - Reverend Alexander Stewart, Estate, 1801 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ (Note) My grandfather on the Stuart/Stewart line was appointed administrator by the court for his father's estate. Another cousin evidently got this information from archives in Raleigh and made a photostat for me, but she did not document it. I am, however, sending it to go online so that hopefully other Stuart/Stewart descendants can have access to it. As I understand it and from other documents that I have garnered on the Stuart line, this was the Reverend Alexander Stuart who was one of the last ministers at the Anglican Church in the town of Bath. He was to have ministered at Christ Episcopal Church, but Rev. Reed had already taken over. The Bath church was vacant, so he went there.   ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA, Craven County  Know all men by these presents that we - James Stewart, Daniel Carthy, & Thomas G.
