From U.S. Route 13, eastnortheast 0.25 miles on N.C. Route 82, southsoutheast 100 yards on a dirt road, eastnortheast 100 yards across field in edge of woods. Maintained, last burial 1934. 1. James Otto Matthews, son of Daniel Alexander Matthews and Ella Jane Matthews. 3. Ella Jane Matthews, daughter of John Robert Matthews and Eliza A. Crumpler, married about 1889 Daniel Alexander Matthews, son of John Thomas Matthews and Effie Bain. Daniel, born 5 Sep 1866 and died 17 Dec 1953, is buried at Mt. Zion Pentecostal Free Will Baptiswt Church. He married second 17 Apr 1919 Minnie Matthews, Ella Jane's sister. 4. Son of John Matthews and Rebecca Howard (both buried in John Matthews Family Cemetery). The "J.T.M." footmarker is located at the foot of the grave which the headmarker indicates as his wife's. 5. Daughter of Daniel Bain and Margaret "Peggy" Graham (both buried at Bluff Presbyterian Church), died 4 Apr 1934. No foot marker. 6.James Blackman Matthews, son of John Thomas Matthews and Mittie Matthews (both buried at Antioch Baptist Church). LONNIE B. MATTHEWS FAMILY CEMETERY Located about 5 1/2 miles southsoutheast of Wade in Black River Township. From S.R. 1823 (Lonnie Matthews Bridge Road) at a point 0.15 miles northwest of the South River Bridge (Sampson County line), southwest 100 yards on a dirt road. Fenced. 1. Stacy D.
