Small cemetery in a wooded area west of Stewart's Creek and just east of the patrol road on the northeast corner of the post ammunition supply point. The cemetery is surrounded by a 3' high dry masonry sandstone wall approximately 50'x 20', with an entrance on the western side. Twenty graves are marked, the oldest being Alex McIntyre (1789-1801) and the most recent William McIntyre (1792-1869). All of the markers and footstones face to the west. 1 White marble marker with flat arch top. The marker is broken below the ground surface and is now lying on its back in four pieces; an additional piece is missing. There is no footstone. In memory of ANNA HUSKE Wife of ANDREW J. COSTIN BORN Nov. 15, 1846 DIED June 2, (broken) "Precious in the sight of the Lord, is the death of His saints." Remsburg 2 White marble marker with a round-on-flat top with concave shoulders and an urn and willow motif at top center. There is also a fan motif in the top corners of the epitaph. The footstone has a flat arch top. To the memory of J.M.R. JANE MUNROE wife of Daniel Munroe who died February 24th 1826; aged 21 Years ----- Also Their Infant JANE MCINTYRE aged 4 months. A. Foster, Fayetteville 3 White marble marker with a round-on-flat top with concave shoulders. The marker is heavily eroded and partially covered with lichen. There are several visible sandstone rocks supporting the bottom. The footstone has a high serpentine top. SACRED M.McI. To the memory of MALCOM McINTYRE: Born Feb.y 3d, 1791(4?). Died Decr 19th, 1821. 4 White marble marker with a round-on-flat top with concave shoulders. Sandstone fieldstones support the bottom. The footstone has a round top. SACRED J.Mc.I. To the memory of JAMES McINTYRE Born 17th July, 1789 Died 16th Septr, 1819. 5 White marble marker with low gable top. Sandstone fieldstones support the bottom. The footstone has a flat top. SACRED D.M'I. to the Memory of DUNCAN McINTYRE Born Feb'y 29th, 1787, Died Sep'r 1811, at the White-Sulphur Springs, Va. And is buried there. Lauder 6 White marble marker with low gable top. Sandstone fieldstones support the bottom. The marker is broken at the base and below the epitaph, and now lies on its back in two pieces. The fieldstone has a flat top. SACRED to the Memory of J.M'I. JOHN McINTYRE Born May 17th, 1785, Died January 1st. 1819 Lauder 7 Broken base of a missing white marble marker; possibly M. McIntyre? The footstone has a low serpentine top. M.McI. 8 White marble marker with low gable top and an urn and willow motif. The marker is broken at the bottom and at the top right corner. It now lies on its back in two pieces. The footstone also has a low gable top. SACRED to the memory of W.A.McI. WILLIAM A. McINTYRE, Born in Fayetteville, January 26th. 1832, Died Sepr 5th. 1856. Lauder 9 White marble marker with low gable top, and an urn and willow motif. "MARGARET" is in raised letters. The marker is broken at the bottom and now lies on its back in three pieces. The footstone also has a low gable top. SACRED TO THE MEMORY OF M.McI. MARGARET, wife of William McIntyre, Born in Fayetteville, July 24. 1798, Died October 19th. 1856. Lauder 10 White marble marker with low gable top, and an urn and willow motif. The footstone has a flat top with the back of the right corner chipped off. SACRED TO THE MEMORY OF W.M'I. WILLIAM McINTYRE Born at this place Feb'y 20th, 1792, Died in Fayetteville May 14th 1869. Lauder. 11 White marble marker with low gable top, and an urn and willow motif. The marker is broken at the bottom and lies on its back in three pieces. The footstone has a flat top. Sacred to the memory of J.M'I. James McINTYRE Born in Fayetteville, November 2d 1826, and died February 5th 1863. Lauder 12 White marble marker with a round-on-flat top and concave shoulders. Sandstone fieldstones support the bottom. The marker is broken at the bottom and lies on its back over the grave. The footstone has a flat arch top and is also broken, lying on it back in two pieces. SACRED to the Memory of M.M.I. MARY McINTYRE, born May 2nd 1796, (D)ied July 12th 1833. 13 White marble marker with a round-on-flat top and concave shoulders. Lichen is growing over portions of the marker. The footstone has a round top and is broken at the bottom and below the initials. It lies on its back in two pieces. SACRED To the memory of E.McI. ELIZABETH McINTYRE. Born 29th May, 1801, Died 31st Decr, 1817. 14 White marble marker with a round-on-flat top and concave shoulders. Lichen is growing over portions of the marker. The footstone has a flat arch top. Sacred to the memory of M.Mc I. MARY McINTYRE, born March 5th 1776, and died July 29th 1835. 15 White marble marker with a round-on-flat top and concave shoulders. Lichen is growing over portions of the marker. The footstone has a round top. Sacred To the memory of D.McI. DANIEL McINTYRE Born 15th June 1745. Died 15th Novr 1815. 16 White marble marker with low gable top. Sandstone fieldstones support the bottom. Lichen is growing over portions of the marker. The footstone has a flat top. Sacred to the Memory of A.B. Mrs. ANN BAKER, Born July 29, 1782, Died May 10, 1809. Lauder 17 White marble marker with a round-on-flat top and concave shoulders. McINTYRE, Born 29th July 1789, Died 3d Jany 1801. 18 White marble marker with a round-on-flat top and concave shoulders. Lichen is growing over portions of the marker. The footstone has a round top. SACRED To the memory of T.McI. THOMAS McINTYRE. Born 21st July, 1781, Died 11th July, 1807. 19 White marble marker with a round-on-flat top and concave shoulders. Died 7th Aug. 1808. 20 White marble marker with a round-on-flat top and concave shoulders. Lichen is growing over portions of the marker. The footstone has a round top. SACRED To the memory of A.
