Cemetery is located next to the road on the right side. It is on private property. The cemetery is in poor shape and most of the tombstones are broken and some believed to be missing. Fallen headstone (old): Mary Louisa wife of Charles D Nixon Born Feb. 16, 1822 Died June 4, 1888 Aged 66 years Gone but not forgotten (Note: some family records give her death date as 1887, which would be consistent with the remarriage of her widower in Dec. 1887.) Space for a grave but no headstone Footstone with SAH New stone: Bill Nixon 1855-1919 "Uncle Bill" (with broken unmarked footstone) (Note: this is a former slave named William McKay) New double stone: Nixon Bettie Atkins Bethia 1850 Dec 15, 1910 (Note: All family records indicate her surname was actually spelled Bethea) Nixon Charles Durant Feb 22, 1822 Aug 13, 1892 Second row, L to R: (in line with SAH footstone from first row) footstone with S. C. (no headstone found) (in line with Bill Nixon stone from first row) Old broken stone: Theresa Louisa Hatcher Born June 10, 1881 Died Nov 5, 1883 Sister brother each successor God has given to our arms Binds no more to thee Theresa Precious child of heavenly charms (between Bill Nixon stone and double Nixon stone from first row) Old broken unmarked slab, fallen. Flat like a typical marker, but no signs of inscription. No footstone found. (in line with double Nixon stone from first row) Old fallen stone: Vulcan Frazelle Born Dec 12, 1839 Died Sept 11, 1892 Farewell, my wife and children all From you a father Christ doth call Third row, L to R: (in line with Hatcher stone from row 2) Stone with scalloped top but no inscription Fourth row, L to R: (in line with Mary Louisa stone from first row) Fallen, broken slab, no inscription (in line with scalloped stone from row 3) Old fallen stone: Erected by Susan Graddy in memory of her husband Durham Graddy who died October 29, 1822 Aged 42 years (in line with SC footstone from row 3) Old fallen stone: In memory of Louisa Frazelle Born Sept 12, 1821 Died June 6, 1828 Fifth row, L to R: (in line with Mary Louisa Nixon stone from row 1) Old fallen stone: Erected by Jane B Grady in memory of Curtis D Grady who died July 25, 1832 in the 25th year of his age.
