HEARSAY Original Attachment Sheriff's return: no good or chattels to be found, then levied on two brick tenements on the south side of Hay-street, joining WADDELL;S; one lot north side of Cross-creek, on Hillsboro street; one other lot 1-1/2 acres on Mumford- street; one lot 44 feet front, near Winslow-street, and one lot and improvement near the Methodist church,known by the name of the School Association House, and summoned JESSE BIRDALL and JOHN CRUSOE as Garinshees It appearing to the satisfaction of the Court, that the defendant, GEORGE T. HEARSAY, is an inhabitant of the State of South Carolina, and that the ordinary process of law cannot be served on him, therefore ordered that publication be made in the North Carolian Journal, printed in Fayetteville, for six weeks, notifying the said GEORGE T. HEARSAY appear before the Justices of said Court, at the Court House in Fayetteville, on the first Monday in June next, then to replevy and plead to the issue or judgment final will be entered against him by default, the monies in the hands of the garnisees, and the property levied on, sold to satisfy the Plaintiff's demand.
