"Muchly Married" Man to Serve Five Years

Fayetteville, May 26 - John Howell was today convicted of bigamy in the 
Superior Court and sentenced to five years in the penitentiary. Howell has 
been married five times, having four wives living, three of whom were present 
in court to testify against him. They were introduced to each other in a 
magistrate's office and photographed together by Sheriff Watson. They seemed 
to enjoy very much relating their various experiences with their mutual 
husband.
