METTS Attachment Levied on a Lot in Campellton, on the neck of the Cape Fear River In this case, it appearing to the satisfaction of the Court that the defendant, JAMES E. METTS resides beyond the litims of this State: It is therefore ordered by the Court that publication be made for six successive weeks in the North Carolina Argus published in the Town of Fayetteville notifying said defendant to be and appear at our next Court of Pleas & Quarter Sessions to be held for the County of Cumberland at the Court House in Fayetteville on the first Monday in December next. Then and there to plead, answer or demur to this petition filed: otherwise judgment will be taken pro confesso and the matter will be heard ex parte as to them Witness JOHN McLAURIN, Clerk of the said Court at office in Fayetteville on the first Monday of September, 1855.
