Attachment

In this case, it appearing to the satisfaction of the Court that the defendant,
NATHAN K. McDUFFIE, resides beyond the limits of this State: It is therefore 
ordered by the Court that publication be made for six successive weeks in the 
North Carolina Argus, a newspaper published in the Town of Fayetteville, N. 
C., notifying the said defendant to be and apper at our next Court of Pleas & 
Quarter Sessions to be held for the County of Cumberland at the Court House in 
Fayetteville on the first Monday of December next. Then and there to plead, 
answer or demur to this petition filed: Otherwise judgment will be taken pro 
confesso and the matter will be heard ex parte as to them. Witness: JOHN 
McLAURIN, Clerk of the said Court at office in Fayetteville on the first 
Monday in September, A.D. 1855.
