These are to Certify that Thos. Nuton came before me and took the oath of 
allegiance and acknowledged himself Duly inlisted in the company of Cumberland 
County Commanded by Capt. Fergd. Campbell and that he has Rec’d forty 
shillings procl. in full which is the Bounty allowed on that Service. This 8 
Day of May, 1771.
