JOHN WILSON 
of North Carolina

   John Wilson applied for revolutionary pension while living in Cumberland
County, N. C., in March, 1830, when he was 73 years of age. He entered the
service in Dobbs County, N. C., in 1778. He was discharged in 1782 near
Greenville, on Tar River. He stated that he was born in Pitt County, N. C., in
1756. He mentioned his wife and a son.
