Wed. Nov. 1, 1826 North Carolina Journal November 1, 1826
   The Superior Court for Cumberland County commenced its session Monday 
last  -- JUDGE NORWOOD presiding. There is but little business either civil or 
criminal of much interest. The most important suit, that of the STATE BANK 
against the securities of ROBERT RAIFORD, is expected to be tried on Monday 
next. The lovers of eloquence are anticipating a rich treat -- some of the 
most eminent lawyers in the State are engaged in that suit.
