Aug. 2, 1826  North Carolina Journal August 2, 1826
 -- In consequence of the death of JOHN MATTHEWS, ESQ., Treasurer of Public 
Buildings of Cumberland County, notice is hereby given, that an Election to 
supply the vacancy occasioned thereby will be held on Thursday of the next 
Term of Cumberland County Court, at 12 o'clock. The Magistrates of the County 
are reqested to attend.
