       FAYETTEVILLE FEMALE HIGH SCHOOL
   At an adjourning meeting of the Subscribers to this Institution on Tuesday 
evening, the 31st ult., the following Trustees were elected with authority to 
procure a charter and take such other steps as will lead to the speedy 
establishment of the School: --
   REV. D. S. WILLIAMS; E. J. HALE; E. J. LILLY; J. G. SHEPHERD; J. H. COOKE; 
H. L. MYROVER; P. TAYLOR; S. J. HINSDALE, J. W. POWELL, J. W. PEARCE; A. A. 
McKEITHAN; WM. McLAURIN; G. S. HODGES; T. R. UNDERWOOD; T. J. JOHNSON; DR. B. 
W. ROGINSON; WARREN WINSLOW; A. E. HALL; J. M. BEASLEY; N. A. STEDMAN; A. W. 
STEEL; S. W. TILLINGHAST; JOHN D. WILLIAMS; WM. CADE; HON. J. C. DOBBIN.
   At a meeting of the Board, EDMUND J. LILLY, ESQ., was unanimously elected 
President of the Board of Trustees, and WM. McLAUREN, ESQ., Secretary.
