Maxton Union and Scottish Chief:
                    The people at Hope
Mills No. 1 and 2 were greatly excited
early this morning by finding the dead
body of Mr. Ed. Arnett near the cotton
mill.  By his side was found a 38-calibre
pistol with a bullet through his brain
revealing the awful fact that he came to
his death by his own hand.
