Thurs., Feb.16, 1809
DIED, at his plantation near Fayetteville, after an indisposition on the 1st 
inst., LEWIS BARGE, in the 69th year of his age. He was a resident of that 
town for 46 years and had for several officiated as magistrate of police, MR. 
BARGE had the character of an upright man, fulfilling duties of husband, 
father and citizen.
