Sat. May 16, 1857   North Carolina Argus
   DIED, on Saturday last, at his residence on Haymount, MR. E. C. HALL, 
merchant, of this place, aged 48 years. The very large assemblage of citizen 
who attended his remains to the grave testified the respect for his memory and 
the sympathy in the affliction of his family, which are so generally felt. For 
five years past he had been a truly pious and consistent member of the M. E. 
Church, exemplary in all the relations of husband, father, son and citizen.
