Wed. June 21, 1826  North Carolina Journal
   DIED, on Saturday evening, the 17th inst., in Cumberland County, CATHARINE, 
consort of the REV. ALLEN McDOUGALD. She was, for a long time, afflicted with 
consumption, which she bore with Christian fortitude and meek resignation. She 
was an intelligent woman, strong and ardent in her friendship, an affectionate 
mother, a kind and bontiful mistress, evincing by all her actions the purity 
of her principles and the sanctity of her life. -- Two infant children, an 
extensive circle of friends and relatives will long feel and lament the loss 
of her who is no more.
