Feb. 2, 1849    Charlotte Journal
   DIED, in Tennessee recently, WILLIAM MURCHINSON, formerly of the 
Fayetteville District, N. C., which he represented in the State Senate, aged 
55 years. MR. MURCHINSON was accidentally shot through the body by drawing his 
gun toward him by the muzzle, the trigger coming in contact with some object. 
He lingered 12 days before he died.
