Died

In this vicinity on the evening of the 5th instant after a short illness in the 28th

year of her age, Eliza, wife of J. Wesley Pearce and daughter of David Lewis, Esq.,

of Franklin county. The premature death of this excellent lady has inflicted a deep

wound in the heart of a devoted husband, taken a mother from a young family and 
filled the bosoms of many friends and relatives with sorrow. In this life she was 
pure and virtuous. We trust she has found rest in a better world.
