Thurs. April 28, 1859  North Carolina Argus
   DEAD -- HILLIARD RAMSEY, who our readers will recollect was assaulted by a 
free Negro named J. C. HUFFMAN on the 6th inst., died on Monday night last. A 
jury of inquest was held over his body on Tuesday, the verdict of which was 
that he came to his death by a blow inflicted by J. C. HUFFMAN. HUFFMAN, is 
now lodged in jail. -- Fayetteville Carolinian
