Provenance of Breece Family Photo

This photos were found in the effects of Berilla Eva Page-Breece (d1953), dau 
of Richard Page and dau-in-law of Joseph Breece. Among others in the same box 
(along with the civil war letter posted to this website), these are the only 
photos of married couples. The chain of possession is through direct 
descendants of Berilla and her husband, David James Breece, son of Joseph 
Breece and remains with direct descendants.

The Joseph and Ida Elizabeth (Barfield) Breece photo is determined by fashion 
style, mostly indicative of 1850’s - perhaps into 1860s. Joseph Breece was KIA 
Harrison’s Landing, VA Sept 1864.
