To eldest son Edward Howard one Negro fellow named Vate, one black mare with the mare colt. To my son Stephen Howard all the land that I own on this side of Pops Creek including the land known by the name of the old field in Onslow County and one Negro boy named Moses and one breeding mare known by the name of Silvia. To my son James Howard all the land on the east side of Pops Creek in Onslow County with one Negro boy named Abel, one colt named buck. To son Jesse Howard one plantation joining William Matthews land on the one side and Jno. Campbell on the other with Negro boy named Sall and one Negro winch named Suck. To my son Joseph Howard this house and plantation whereon I now live with one Negro girl and two boys names as follows, Salle, Daniel, Shade. Remainder of property to be left to the discretion of the executors to satisfy all charges and the remainder to be divided between the children equally. Appoint son Stephen Howard, John Black and Jesse Potts Executors.
