Woodhouse, Henry - 1751 - Currituck County, NC - Wills Submitted for use in the USGenWeb Project Archives by Marty Holland The Will of Henry Woodhouse Currituck County November 27, 1750; April 12, 1751 Secretary of State Original Wills NC North Carolina State Archives In the name of god amen this twenty Seventh Day of November one thousand Seven Hundred and fifty, I Henry Woodhouse Planter of the province of North Carolina and In the Cownty of Coratuck Being Sick and weeak in boddy But of perfect mind and memory thanks be given unto god this for cawling into mind the mortality of my Boddy and Knowing that it is apointed for all men once to Die doe make and ordaine this and no other to Be my last will and testament furst and princepally I give and Reccommend my Sowle into the Hands of god that give it and my Boddy to the Earth to Be buried in Decent Christain Burial at the Discretion of my exector nothing Douting Butt att the genarel Ressirecktion I Shawle Receave the Saim again By the mighty power of god as touching Such worldly estates wheras with it Hath pleased god to Bles me in this Life I give, Dismiss, and Dispose the Same In the following manner and form Inprimas (?) I give and Bequeaveth unto my Dear Beloved wife, Cesiah Woodhouse, six negrows London, Sarah, Hannah, Benmmig (?), Charles, Jack and all the Howse of goods Stock and movebal Estate that is Left that I Had By hur and lickewise I give and Bequeaveth unto my Dear & Beloved wife Cesiah Woodhou the use of two negrows During hur natrel life George and Rose and after hur Decease to Return to my Son Hesseciah Woodhouse and his heirs and lickewise I give to my Beloved Wife two Horses Jack and Capano('s) (?) mair Caleb('s) pleasure, and my land mil (?) eight Cows and Calves if they Be to Be found and all my Sheep and likewise all my Hogs after my Debts is paid and lickewise I let the use of my house and plantation, wheare on I now live During hur natrel life and after hur Decease to Return to my Son Hesseciah Woodhouse and his Heirs lawfully Beggotten and I also give and Bequeave to my Daughter In Law Mary Jarves one Hundred ackers of land lying on the South Side of a branch Being the plantation wheare on the plantation that my son, Hesseciah Woohouse now lives on, and one negrow gurl named Supphiah to Hur and hur heirs of hur Boddy lawfilly Beggotton, and If She Dyes without Such Heir then to Return to my Son Hesseciah Woodhouse and his heirs of his Boddy lawfully Begotten. I give and Bequeave to my Daughter mary west('s) son three negrows Sarah and Philles and Arther and his Heirs of his Boddy lawfully Beggotten and if he Dyes without Such heir to Return to my son Hesseciah Woodhouse and his heirs. I give to Abraham Leachfeald one Sorrel mair. I give and Bequeave to William Abenton one Cow and Calf. I give to Sarah Stuart one good old Heffer. I give to Metthias Toler Sener fore barrels of corn a year yearly During his natrel life, two Barrels to be paid (?) by my wife and two By my son Hesseciah Woodhouse. I give and bequeve to my son Hesseciah Woodhouse all my land and Negrows Cattel Houshold goods and moveble estate that I Have not allread given away to him and his heirs of his Boddy lawfully be(gotten). I also leave my son Hesseciah Woodhouse my Hole and Sole Executor of this my last will and testament.
