Taylor, Zachariah - 1816 - Currituck County, NC - Wills Submitted for use in the USGenWeb Project Archives by John Laird A will for Zachariah Taylor was dated February 4, 1815, and dated May 1816, in Willbook 3, p. 84, follows in its entirety: "The Last Will and Testament of Zachariah Taylor, deceased. Exhibited and proved at May Term, 1816. In the name of God Amen. I Zachariah Taylor, being sick and weak of body, but of sound and disposing mind and memory, and calling to mind the uncertainty of human life, and that it is appointed for all men once to die, do, make and ordain this my last will and testament, in manner and form following. Imprimus - I give and bequeath to my beloved wife Elizabeth Taylor, all my estate within doors and without, during her natural life, except fifty acres of marsh land, and three cows, I leave to be sold for six months credit, to pay my debts. Item. And after the decease of my wife Elizabeth Taylor to be equally divided between my daughter Lovey Taylor and my sons Jesse Taylor and Samuel Taylor, to them and their heirs forever. Lastly. I will and desire that Benjamin Taylor be and hereby appointed, constituted, and ordained Executor to this my last will and testament. In witness whereof I the aforesaid Zachariah Taylor have hereunto set my hand, affixed my seal this 4th day of February, 1815(?).
