MARK CRUMP, THOMAS PHELPS, CHARLES PHELPS, PETER HUFFMAN, ELIZABETH HUFFMAN, 
SAMUEL PHELPS, WILLIAM PHELPS; AVIARTON PHELPS; WILLIAM SPRY and ELIBABETH, 
his wife, OSBORN RIDGEWAY and ___, his wife

Petition for Partition of the Lands of JOHN PHELPS, Deceased

It appearing to the satisfaction of the Court that the defendants, PETER 
HUFFMAN, SAMUEL PHELPS, WILLIAM PHELPS, WILLIAM SPRY and ELIZABETH SPRY, his 
wife, and OSBORN RIDGEWAY and _____, his wife ,
 reside beyond the limits of  this State. It is therefore ordered by the Court 
that publication be made for six successive weeks in the Patriot, printed in 
Greensboro, that unless the said defendants be and appear at our next Court of 
Pleas & Quarter Sessions to be held for the County of Davidson in the Court 
House at Lexington on the second  Monday in August next then and there to 
plead, answer or object  to this issue, judgment will be taken pro confesso,  
heard ex parte and partition of said land decreed..

Witness DAVID MOCK, Clerk of our said Court at Office the second Monday of May 
1831.
