 DAVIDSON COUNTY
May Term 1831

NICHOLAS, JAMES, AND JACOB HAGE

        Vs.

JOHN OAKS and his wife, MARY; SAMUEL MICHAEL and his wife, ELIZABETH

Petition for Partition of the Lands of NICHOLAS JAMES, SR., Deceased

It appearing to the satisfaction of the Court that the defendants, JOHN OAKS 
and his wife, MARY; SAMUEL MICHAEL and his wife, ELIZABETH
 reside beyond the limits of  this State. It is therefore ordered by the Court 
that publication be made for six successive weeks in the Patriot, printed in 
Greensboro, that unless the said defendants be and appear at our next Court of 
Pleas & Quarter Sessions to be held for the County of Davidson in the Court 
House at Lexington on the second  Monday in August next then and there to 
plead, answer or object  to this issue, judgment will be taken pro confesso 
and heard ex parte against them.

Witness DAVID MOCK, Clerk of our said Court at Office the second Monday of May 
1831.
